Important notice regarding Big Adventures Community Theatre production of the Alice Wheeldon story

As many of you will know, Big Adventures had plans to stage another large outdoor community production in summer this year. This was to be based on the true story of Derby suffragette and activist Alice Wheeldon.  unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the necessary funding has not come through from our major partner Unite The Union. Without their backing, it is impossible for us to stage the production in the way we would like. Big Adventures and Derby LIVE have tried our best to secure the funding over the last few months with endless attempts to contact Unite, but without luck. We  have explored every option with regard to alternative arrangements and we are now left with insufficient time to get any alternative version up and running. Therefore, with regret, plans for this year's production have had to be cancelled. We know many people will be disappointed at this news but please be assured it is through no fault of Big Adventures. As ever, we have lots of projects on the go and we will keep everyone informed of future projects.
